Synopsis
Ben, a man in his mid-30s with low self-esteem, is overwhelmed by notifications from a quirky virtual therapy app called Thaia and a mom who seems to have all the answers for a happy life. One day, he downloads Thaia and soon realizes self-love is stronger than life. As time passes, Thaia teaches Ben to embrace and love his reflection from every angle of his body. With his newfound happiness, Ben decides to share it with his family on a cozy Sunday afternoon. But are they prepared for his new, joyful life?
Creator’s Statement
“Do You Still Love Me” was inspired by a personal experience. For about six months, I worked hard to break into the Danish film industry by offering my services for free. However, I faced repeated rejections, which ultimately led to a period of deep depression, during which I found it hard to leave my apartment. Then, one day, I woke up and told myself, “You put yourself in this position, and you are the only one who can make it right; you need to respect and love yourself.” Within a month, I enrolled in a film course and began securing jobs, even if they were mostly unpaid. Despite the challenges, I felt proud of my accomplishments. As I often say, to survive in the film industry, you must learn to love rejection haha. After that experience, I became interested in meditation focused on self-love, which initially went well. People noticed a positive change in me and expressed how great and happy they felt around me. Encouraged by this, I increased the frequency and duration of my meditation sessions. However, instead of feeling relaxed and happy, I began to experience too much confidence, which led to arrogance and caused me to distance myself from others. This taught me that doing more doesn’t always lead to quicker and better results. This story emphasizes the importance of self-love and self-respect, regardless of life’s challenges, because we cannot escape our “reflection.” It will always be with us as long as we live.
Director - Screenwriter - Director of Photography
Henrik A. Meyer found himself drawn to the camera at the age of 10 when he first started taking pictures, which turned into a lifelong passion for photography. This passion has led him to a long career as a cinematographer, and both this wealth of experience and a lifelong love of telling stories have set the foundation for his foray into the role of Director.
Henrik’s interest in directing stems from his deep appreciation for all pieces of the cinematic process—he thrives on being involved in every aspect of the final product, but more importantly, on collaborating with the many artists, he works alongside on each of his projects. His many world travels (over 40 countries!) have influenced his open-minded perspective toward his work, and he believes the best process involves the input and creative vision from every member of the team. His diverse travels and deep interest in each person’s unique story are the signature inspirations behind Henrik’s films, which are often based on true events but intentionally depicted through a universal lens.
A native of Denmark who spent 15 years in the Danish film industry, Henrik’s directorial journey was largely inspired by his colleagues Niels Arden Oplev (The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo) and Charlotte Sieling (Homeland, Lovecraft Country). A more recent and highly influential experience has been a series of screenwriting courses with John Warren (Young Screenwriters). He has had experience directing small commercial specs for brands like White Claw and Full Sail University, while also directing, writing, and producing his own short films, including The Blue Car (official selection of the Oxford and DC Shorts film festivals) and his newest work, Stay and Happy Box.

He has written & directed several features and pilots currently in post-production with Stonestreet Studios, the upcoming Dark Parks, Strega, and Gutter or Butter.
Meg Wells - Thaia
The work I'm exploring as an actress is playing women who are fiercely determined, super driven, or obsessed with someone or something. Whether it's a corporate entrepreneur, a "stage 5 clinger" girlfriend, an investigator, or a driven artist (to name a few), I feel confident and always bring my A-game playing these go-getter characters who are "all consumed" by either what they want or who they want. These characters ambitiously "get shit done" so to speak, either comedically or dramatically!
Think roles like:
- Anna Kendrick in "Up in the Air"
- Reese Witherspoon in "Election"
- Isla Fisher in "Wedding Crashers"
- Victoria Pedretti in "You"
Carole Real - Mom
Carole Real is a playwright, screenwriter and actor living in New York City. Her plays have been called "droll...enjoyable...smart" (The New York Times), "a delight from start to finish" (StageScene LA) and "the front runner" (The Boston Globe). A member of the Dramatists Guild and of the WGA, Carole has penned prime time and daytime television for CBS, ABC and Fox, including hour-long dramedies, soap operas and television movies. She has made film, television and radio appearances, is a Yale graduate and a lifetime member of Ensemble Studio Theatre.

I have a wide background in mainly narrative projects, commercials, music videos, and corporate content. I have two feature-length films and several short films under my belt as well. Commercial clients also include Rolex, Roche Bobois, WeWork, Google, Hasbro, LG Electronics, and more. I'm however always looking to expand my repertoire and will gladly work on projects of all shapes and sizes. Since then, I have been working professionally in the industry for the past nine years.
As a naturally quiet person, I use images to express my thoughts, ideas, and emotions. Pictures allow my voice to be heard when words seem to fail me.
Sound Designer - Mixer - Composer
Zayn Mufti grew up in the fog of San Francisco, California, and started his audio journey very early in life. Beginning with piano lessons at age 5, he quickly became captivated by anything that made a noise. Zayn started in the school orchestra at the beginning of middle school and took up guitar, bass, and drums later on.
His love for music led him to college, where he attended San Francisco State University and later Academy of Art University, where he received my MFA in Music Composition and Sound Design for Visual Media.
Currently, Zayn has relocated to New York City, where he does freelance audio post-production work for independent game studios, films, and other local creatives.
In his free time away from my professional work, he enjoys backpacking, cooking, and of course, gaming.
